How long does the counselling session last?

The counselling session lasts for 50 minutes,  the same time each week, with the same counsellor for the length of the counselling contract.

What happens if I can’t attend my counselling session?

Please leave a message on the office answerphone, 01932 244070, and the counsellor will get the message.

Do I have to pay for missed sessions?

The Counselling Partnership is funded in part by the donations of clients in counselling. Many venues charge for the use of their facilities and hence we ask for all missed appointments to be paid for. Please discuss this with your counsellor if you have any concerns.

How much does counselling cost?

We ask for a regular contribution from clients to help cover the charity’s costs, currently £22.00 per session. However, the amount you contribute will depend on your financial circumstances and will be discussed in your initial appointment with your assessor.

Where will I need to go for counselling?

The Counselling Partnership holds counselling sessions at a number of venues across Surrey. Discuss your ability to travel to different locations at your assessment. The more flexible you can be about location and time of session, the quicker the agency should be able to arrange for you to see a counsellor.

Are the counsellors qualified?

Counsellors are either qualified or in training and holding a certificate of competence.  All counsellors work is supervised to ensure a completely professional, appropriate and ethical service. All our counsellors are volunteers.

Is the service confidential?

The service is confidential within the organisation and abides to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice.

What if I have a complaint?
