Who are we?
Terri Collins – Patron
Terri Collins, HND in professional (integrative) counselling 1994 – 1998 Brooklands College.
Is a founder Trustee of the NSCCP – The Counselling Partnership’. Has a background in PR, conference and business administration, she is a Director of Osborne & Collins, a family run electrical and business services company based in Walton on Thames. Terri has been involved in the voluntary sector in Elmbridge for more than thirty years and is a founder Director of Elmbridge Community Link.
Lucy Selleck - Chair
I joined the Counselling Partnership two years ago and came on a training day on ‘Mindfulness’ and met some of the counsellors there.
I have worked as a couples’ counsellor with Relate for 20 years and have since set up my own private practice I have also raised funds for Relate and did some of their PR both locally and nationally. I have started to raise awareness of The Counselling Partnership and its value to the community.
Priscilla Austen – Vice Chair
Priscilla Austen has a background in Human Resources and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. She has lived in Elmbridge since 1980 and has been involved in the local voluntary sector for more than 15 years, most recently as Manager of the Elmbridge Volunteer Bureau (now Voluntary Action Elmbridge). Priscilla was a Trustee of Elmbridge Relate for four years and community member of Referral Order Panels with the Surrey Youth Offending Team. She is now a magistrate at Kingston.
Des O’Reilly B.Comm, FCA – Treasurer
Des is Chartered Accountant who has worked in practice with KPMG and has spent the last twenty five years in industry. He has been involved in multinational operations and has extensive experience of global transactions having worked in a number of countries.
Henry Woodhall – Secretary
Henry first came to work in Surrey in 1990. A trained social worker, Henry has worked in variety of mental health roles for Surrey Council Social Services, including Approved Social Worker. Henry is a Trustee of Cornerhouse Mental Health Resource Centre in Woking (www.cornerhousewoking.org.uk).
Barbara Cowin B.Sc (Hons)
Is Cllr for Walton North Ward and Portfolio Holder for Corporate Development for Elmbridge Borough Council. Having a background in psychology and teaching and being a former counsellor and supervisor the appointment to the Counselling Partnership as Trustee seems to be an ideal role. Barbara has been a supporter of the Partnership since her election in 2008.
Sue Bogie – Clinical Committee member
I worked as a Chartered Physiotherapist for 25 yrs, the last 15 yrs. part –time in a GP practice. I also work for Elmbridge Home- Start as a volunteer.
My counselling training started in 1989 with Sutton Pastoral Foundation, part of Westminster Pastoral Foundation(WPF), where I was a volunteer counsellor. In 1998 I qualified with WPF as a Post Graduate Psychodynamic Counsellor and was then in private practice and working in a London Hospital until 2008. I was a member of their Ethics Committee for 3 years and am still part of their mediation team for complaints. I have been on the Clinical Committee for NSCCP since 2009.
Carol Riddington BSc, MSc, DMS, Phd – Business Development Coordinator
Carol has been the treasurer of the Counselling Partnership since 2005. She has been working in social research for more than twenty five years and has conducted research on a wide range of subjects including local government, renewable energy, consumer advice, crime and policing, health disability transport and radio audience research. Recently, Carol has stepped down from her role as Trustee to work as the Business Development Coordinator for The Counselling Partnership.
